Using space
Tuesday's class really helped me understand what it means to use and interact with space. Maybe I am just someone who learns better by doing rather than seeing, but it wasn't extremely clear to me until this point. Looking at how others existed in space gave made me think about how I use space in my daily life. As we walked along the mall, we wondered about how the grassy areas are regulated. Just as we were wondering this, we saw a girl get hit with a frisbee that some nearby students were throwing around. I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose, but they could have made a better effort to avoid the girl who was just sitting there. This showed me how little people think about the space of others. I got to thinking and realized that I don't actively think about other people's space during my everyday activities, or how I use space in general. I think that most people don't really actively consider how they are using their space, but subconsciously use the space in the way that it was intended.

I find it interesting how you learn better by doing rather than seeing your space. I also agree that I don't actively think about other people's space during my everyday activity, just because I am incredibly focused and concentrated on getting from my point A to my point B within a certain time. However, other people and how they use their space actively affects how we use our space, just because they can limit or allow us to get from point A to point B in a certain manner, either slowly or quickly. All of our space is intertwined, because we all exist together.
