For this essay, I would like to talk about the work-leisure relationship and mass culture's effect on people's leisure time. Another thought is talking about the alienation in Marx's passage and alienation's role in work and leisure.
Will you be specifically referencing Lefebvre's "Work and Leisure in Everyday Life"? For me, that was the most relatable reading we've analyzed this semester. I think your take on mass culture's effect on leisure time will be extremely relevant and it will be easy to tie in the role of alienation. Due to the abundant variety of mass culture in our society today, we have definitely become more alienated, personally/as individuals, and also as a whole.
