German Ideology

1. In page 14, Marx assumed that men and circumstances "appear upside down as in a camera obscura", to state that his view starting "from real, active men...life process" instead of the other way around". Why and in which way active men and development of ideology reflexes are in a relationship which is upside down?

2. In page 26, Marx call communism "the real movement which abolish the present state of things", what exactly "the present state of things" is referred to?

  1. To answer number 2, I believe this one can almost relate back to our discussions in class. When Marx says "the present state of things", I believe he is referring to the Hegelian ways that are already in place and this entire reading he speaks out against the new Hegelians and the old Hegelians theocracies.
